Who we are

The Charity

Good Morning Service are a dynamic, innovative independent charity who have set the standard for telephone befriending and alert services. Having developed software, working procedures and good practice guidelines since 2000, setting up 13 new services in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. They are the industry experts who have lead the way in a new concept in social care.

The charity’s social, emotional and safety-net support is available to those living in Glasgow City Council and South Ayrshire Council boundaries. The independent charity will focus on maintaining support for existing clients whilst working to make the service available to every older person in Scotland.

A team of highly skilled telephone befrienders and supervisors deliver over 50,000 Good Morning Calls each year. Our befriending sessions give both emotional support in challenging times, and practical support in alerting to potential problems when our call remains unanswered.
